North Central Texas College Celebrates Spring 2025 Graduates
GAINESVILLE, TX — North Central Texas College (NCTC) honored its Spring 2025 graduates during a commencement ceremony held Friday, May 16, at the University of North Texas Coliseum in Denton.
A total of 513 students crossed the stage to receive their diplomas, marking the largest graduating class in the college’s 101-year history. Among the graduates, 30 students earned the prestigious Summa Cum Laude distinction for achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA. These students include: Alison Frantz, Anna Elise Fleitman, Ava Juliette Blackmon, Chloe Janai Alexander, Chris D. Gutierrez, Christopher Wayne Oliver II, Dawn Wallis-Aguirre, Emerson Alexander Melgares, Ezrael J. Garcia, Gloria Praise Russ, Haley Elizabeth Pierce, Hunter C. Hall, James David Jang Melcher, Jill Renee Caliendo Evans, Jimena Hernandez, Joseph Aaron Trinkle, Karleigh Monden, Kelly Michelle Sours, Lee Head, Liliana Leticia Gonzalez, Madelyn Bigelow, Marlene Vazquez Barraza, Meg Elizabeth Morris, Morgan Golden, Naomi Kathleen Burford, Reed Joe Thomas, Sophie Bosseboeuf, Thalia Woodard, Troy Owen Nichelson, and Vincent Reynolds.
An additional 11 students graduated Magna Cum Laude, earning GPAs between 3.90 and 3.99. These students are: Luke Andrew Van Brunt, Kacey White, Megan Abraham, Joshua Fisher, Boluwatiffe Olorunwo, Shaleinnah Villanueva, Abagayle Baglin, Hayden Himes, Joana S. Perales, Lucas Simmons, and Angelica Maria Gomez-Jimenez.
NCTC Chancellor Dr. Brent Wallace awarded diplomas to each graduate. The commencement address was delivered by Christopher Blake Wood, an NCTC student and Honors Program graduate.
