NCTC Board of Regents Welcomes Newest Appointee

The North Central Texas College Board of Regents met Monday and regents Christy Morris and Aaron Krebs were sworn in by Judge John Roane. Morris starts her third term with the college board and Krebs was elected in the May 3rd election. Both regents will serve terms that extend through 2031.

After the swearing in, the board heard a Chancellor’s Report from Dr. Brent Wallace and a financial report from NCTC CFO Dr. Van Miller.

Director of Completion and Career Services, Amy Klohn, presented an update on the Title V Pathways to Completion Grant, which collaborates with student services closely to reinforce leadership, development and career readiness in students.

Title V grant Manager Franklin Haskins discussed the student timeline in the grant and updated that grant staff has seen 151 students this semester for one-on-one coaching.

The consent agenda was approved by the board, including approval of the April 21, 2025 Minutes, consideration of Personnel, and approval of the 2025-2026 Academic Catalog.

The board unanimously adopted a resolution authorizing the sale of $25 million of tuition revenue bonds to be used toward the construction of a new dorm. The bonds will be paid back through tuition revenue and fees from students. The next steps will involve finalizing construction plans.

The board also approved all contract renewals for full-time faculty for 2025-26.

The board adjourned at 6:47 pm with no executive session.
