Title IX Awareness

October is recognized as Title IX Awareness Month, a time to reaffirm our commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful learning and working environment for everyone. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal civil rights law that protects individuals from discrimination in educational programs and activities that receive federal funding.

This month provides an opportunity to increase awareness of the rights and responsibilities under Title IX, share available resources, and promote education on preventing harassment, misconduct, and discrimination. It also highlights the importance of fostering a community built on respect, accountability, and care for one another.

By observing Title IX Awareness Month, we continue to strengthen our efforts to ensure that all members of our campus community can learn, work, and thrive in an environment that values safety, fairness, and belonging.
